Volunteers Needed for ArtsFest May 2/3

Partnership for Sustainability featuring the Students for Sustainability, will be doing the recycling for ArtWalk, ArtsFiesta, and ArtsFest. Pulling wagons, carrying totes and backpacks students and volunteers will be collecting all recyclables and creating art. Bailey School will create a giant caterpillar from bottle tops in the kids hands on area. “Project Recycle Runway” will provide an opportunity to design fashion and costumes from plastic bottles. Build a bottle castle, or a giant action figure out of plastic bottles. Release your frustrations at the “frustration stomping station” where you can stomp bottles in a controlled setting. Look for Partnership for Sustainability at Walnut and JQH Parkway.

Guess how many bottles will be collected, how much oil took to make the bottles and how big that carbon foot print would be…
