Recycling Books

The City of Springfield offers comprehensive recycling services at three locations funded by grants, honor system fees, and donations.  These locations accept aluminum, tin, glass, plastic, paper, and cardboard.  The Franklin and Lone Pine locations also accept bagged leaves and grass, as well as the Yardwaster Recycling Center.

Computer Recycling Center takes all e-waste (electronic waste) plus much more including lawnmowers, electric appliances (that old VCR!), vacuums and many things you might not have thought of as recyclable. True recycling – not dumped in foreign countries!! State and EPA certified.

Fiber Management has operated since 2004 and is a sister company to Marck Recycling in Northwest Arkansas, which has provided recycling services for more than 15 years.  They accept aluminum, paper, cardboard, office waste, and printers.  Additionally, they offer route pickup service.  They accept aluminum, books, and cardboard for recycling.

With over ten locations in the Greene county area, the Springfield-Greene County Library system provides opportunities for all residents to inform themselves through books, videotapes, compact discs, toys, and CD-ROM’s.  They accept donations of books in paperback and hardback covers year round for The Friends of the Library book sale.
